5th December 2010 - A message from Blue:

"My personal and heartfelt thanks to all the members of Alvechurch Community Choir who gave up a large portion of their free time on Saturday 4th December to perform at St Philip's Cathedral as part of the Edward's Trust Remembrance Service. You looked and sounded amazing and I felt incredibly proud to know you, to be with you and to feel a part of you.

I have already received many comments, thanks and good wishes from parents who came to remember their children at this poignant time of year. Personal thanks too came from: Canon Janet (St. Philips), Christine Bodkin (Edward's Trust CEO), Peter Dent (Founder Edward's Trust), Judy Dyke (Patron Edward's Trust) and several of the staff members who were present on the day."

Warmth,

Blue

12th September 2010 - At last - after the nightmare of computer nightmares, we are back in the driving seat!

ACC's first meeting this term was on the 6th of September - it was wonderful to welcome back our regular folk, whilst also welcoming in some new ones.

We have a plethora of things on the agenda already, keep watching this space for updates.

5th July 2010 - A reminder for all ACC members! We have two performances on

10th July 2010

at

Crown Meadow PTA Summer Fête

12:00 midday

&

1:00 pm

Please try to arrive 15 to 30 minutes earlier.

Dress code is black, white & red.

Crown Meadow is on the same site as our usual choir practice venue. Anyone not a member of the choir is welcome to come along to be entertained. Around thirty members of the choir will be present.

3rd July 2010 - A fine time was had by all at the Alvechurch Women's Institute BBQ last Friday evening. The weather held out, the food was scrummy and ACC were in fine voice! Poor Mr G. was still recovering from a fall he had from his bike during the week, but it didn't hold him back! Despite bruises, grazes and scratches he soldiered on to lead the choir. Simon emerged as our brand new soloist giving excellent voice to "Don't You Want Me, Baby?" with the choir happily backing him all the way.

Anyone wanting to come along and join in the fun would be very welcome. Bring a mug with you as we stop at half time for liquid refreshments.

That's about it for now... but keep watching, you never know!!
